From 16th to 22nd September, Television Centre was home to London Design Festival’s “Atomic Connection,” an immersive and interactive lighting installation. Drawing inspiration from the Centre’s iconic “Atomic Dots,” the installation used sensors to transform space and colour into an innovative form of communication. There’s still time to experience this immersive light display, which will be running until November.

The display, created in collaboration with Dutch technology company Synthetic State, was displayed at 2 Television Centre Reception and the Upper Forecourt.

Visitors could also unwind on “Bounce,” a sustainable seating design by Brussels-based designer Mathilde Wittock. Made from birch plywood and upcycled tennis balls, each piece of seating utilised around 1,220 tennis balls, reducing approximately 39.5kg of CO2 emissions.

On 17th September, Simone Venner from MsHolistic led a free breathwork session, guiding participants through a 20-minute meditation using silent disco headphones. The session offered a moment of calm and relaxation with soothing music.

The week culminated in a special celebration on 19th September, featuring live music and complimentary drinks from local gastropub The Broadcaster.
