Laura Fulmine X The Modern House installation

Laura Fulmine 1

Interiors stylist and set designer Laura Fulmine has collaborated with The Modern House to curate a one-off installation of accomplished works by international designers in Apartment H.708, a three-bedroom duplex Premium residence at Television Centre. The installation is on display and availble to view by appointment from Friday 3 May – Friday 24 May.

Recognised for her instinctive eye and refined approach to styling, Laura Fulmine explores the different aspect of design through the decades, choosing both modern and vintage pieces to sit together in a captivating and unexpected way. The installation features key pieces from world-renowned galleries and designers including SEEDS Gallery, Mint, Rose Uniacke, Gallery FUMI, Béton Brut, De Padova, Dello Studio, The Invisible Collection and more. Curating the apartment as if it were a gallery, the memorable collection of sculptural furniture, textiles and artwork work in harmony with the elegant and understated palette of Haptic Architects’ framework.

For the living space, Laura Fulmine responds to the clean geometric lines of the apartment and places the stunning Ear Chair by Voukenas Petrides from Gallery Fumi alongside Soojin Kang’s ‘White’ woven wall hanging from SEEDS Gallery. Spatial drama is the underlying theme of the dining area, heightened by the Delfi table by Marcel Breuer from Beton Brut with its impressive monolithic marble base. In the study, a sense of curiosity has been injected into the space through the dream-like sculptures of Matteo Cibic, the Pierre Efourd Fossil desk and the breath-taking design of the wall mirror by Kiko Lopez from Sè.

Laura Fulmine, Interiors stylist and set designer, comments: “At first, the pieces appear as artworks and it’s only at second glance you realise that they all exist as functional elements, creating a totally different living experience. It was an honour to be asked by The Modern House to curate an apartment at the iconic Television Centre and a very rare opportunity to put together all of my favourite pieces and place them into one sublime interior.”

James Klonaris, Prime Appraisals Specialist for The Modern House, comments: “Television Centre asked The Modern House to consider the aesthetic for a new duplex penthouse space by Haptic Architects. Our immediate reaction was to contact Laura Fulmine, an interior stylist with whom we have an excellent history. Laura has more than mere consistency when it comes to styling. She bridges the design world between creatives, champions and patrons and severs boundaries between art, design, fashion and lifestyle. Laura has an exceptional eye and an ability to pair the unobvious to beautiful effect. It was with this in mind that we asked Laura to curate a selection of pieces from some of her favourite designers, artists and showrooms and present them in the setting of a living gallery – an alternative and thought-provoking take on the typical show apartment.”

Forming part of The Architects’ Series, the 2,279 sq ft apartment is one of three duplex apartments in The Helios with interior architecture by Haptic Architects. The apartment is immediately available for occupation.
