Television Centre hosts Revo study tour

Revo Tour

Revo, an organisation that provides support to the people and businesses involved in the world of retail, property and placemaking, undertook a tour of Television Centre. The tour was an opportunity for Revo members to learn more about the development of Television Centre and of the wider White City area.

Proceedings started at 9am with a breakfast in The Pavilion of Television Centre, provided by Butterscotch Bakery. Presentations were then given by Stanhope’s Alistair Shaw, Managing Director of Television Centre, Daniel Parle from Westfield London, and Laura Fernie from TfL. Following the presentations, the tour was led by Mr Shaw and Lloyd Spencer from AHMM, lead architects for the redevelopment of Television Centre, who were able to provide expert knowledge of the changes made to Television Centre.

The tour visited three areas: the residential area in The Crescent, the top floor of 2 Television Centre, which is now home to Publicis Media, and the BBC Studios. The tour leaders, who have been involved since the beginning of the project, were able to explain the technical aspects of the tour and give the Revo members a detailed insight into the work undertaken on the famous building. Lasting approximately an hour, the tour was a great opportunity to showcase not only the recent progress of Television Centre, but also the exciting future of the development, and of White City.
