On Tuesday 13th August, Television Centre hosted its much-anticipated Big Lunch, transforming the Forecourt into a community dining venue. The event was more than just a culinary celebration, offering guests the chance to indulge in diverse international cuisines; it was also an occasion to come together and celebrate the local community against the iconic backdrop of Television Centre.

Guests enjoyed a multicourse dining experience al fresco, surrounded by live acoustic music. With 80 exclusive spots available, attendees savoured a series of taster plates from some of the area’s top restaurants.

The first course to be served was brought by Kricket, introducing the vibrant flavours of South-East Asia. Attendees enjoyed barbecued kathi rolls featuring Afghani chicken and hariyali paneer with grilled laccha onion.

Next up, guests had the opportunity to try the Broadcaster’s selection of modern-British canapés, including seared tuna spiced crackers, sustainable sirloin steak with crispy hand-cut chips, and summery minted courgette and feta rolls.

Kin Pizza transported guests across the Atlantic with their Detroit-style pizzas. The OG Margherita and Triple Pepperoni were big hits, each offering a delicious twist to traditional crust pizzas. temper BURGER rounded off the multicourse experience with their American classic smash burgers.

The Big Lunch was a resounding success, celebrating local culinary talent and bringing the community together for a memorable afternoon.
