On Thursday 3rd July, the Forecourt at Television Centre came alive as Next Door Records presented “Next Door Sessions”, an exceptional evening of live acoustic music under the summer sun. The event showcased rising local talents Bert and Charles in an open-air performance.

Kicking off the evening, indie-folk singer Bert set a chilled tone with a mix of experimental folk and soul-infused melodies. His stripped-back set invited the crowd to unwind, creating a relaxing, intimate atmosphere to ease out of the workday.

As the sun dipped behind the iconic Helios façade, Charles took the stage with a genre-blending set of neo-soul, R&B, and funk. With smooth vocals and infectious grooves, the audience danced and sang along into the evening.
