Television Centre celebrated summer 2026 with a burst of culture and creativity. TVC Live: Sounds like Summer returned for a series of FREE events held in collaboration with local partners. Attracting thousands of attendees from across London, the curated events’ programme offered a unique opportunity for the public to enjoy a range of activities, from hands-on workshops and live music to art showcases, artist markets, and film screenings, creating an immersive cultural experience.
This year’s summer series was a success. Featured in The Londonist and The Standard, TVC Live 2026 celebrated local talent and innovation. The Royal College of Art hosted two graduate showcases on the Forecourt, spotlighting emerging talent from students on the RCA’s MA and Graduate Diploma programmes. Shepherd’s Bush’s very own Next Door Records transformed the Forecourt into a hub of independent music, with acoustic performances and live DJ sets. Whilst creative incubator HQI took over the Big Screen with original shorts and film screenings. Other highlights included lunchtime workshops with West London creative Hache Is For Hanna.
Television Centre’s Rework and Vintage market was the flagship event of the summer. Centred around sustainability, the market offered a curated mix of independent clothing brands and vintage fashion. Attendees also enjoyed hands-on workshops where they brought old clothes to upcycle into something new.
The Broadcaster operated the mobile bar throughout the summer, ensuring guests enjoyed a cold beer or refreshing Aperol spritz!
